Key (back). Every hour during the Draggin’ Main event a Dance Off was held to
“The Twist”. The final winner was Elaine McGuire.

It was a perfect fall night for the second annual Draggin’ Main in Cheyenne. It was great to see all the folks, both young and old, enjoying all the activities and of course, Draggin’ Main. The Food Booths and others started setting up at 4pm and the streets were packed with people and cars by 5pm!

Scott Martin, event coordinator, kept things hopping with drawing, dance-offs and tossing items from the rooftops. Dwayne and Juhretta Roark opened up their car buildings for people to see their large collection of muscle cars, Model As, motorcycles and more.

There were 494 people that registered for the drawings. Special thanks to Cookie Moler, Jennifer Whitson and Dana Cogburn for registering the guests. Those winning prizes were Preston Walls, Chris Wright, Tim Malson, Kyana Delacruz and Doris Minor, all winning car replicas. Paulette Moad won the black & white Oxford Saddle Shoes. Renae Bagzis won $50, Caylee Frederking won the $300 prize and the grand prize winner of $1,000 was Debbie McMaines.

Kathy Sadler coordinated the hourly Dance Off to the “Twist” and had around 150 dancers! The semi-final winners were Glenda Kirk, Elaine McGuire, Baye Allen, Kylynn Duncan, Jon Stubbs, Monni Reed, Rhonda Key, Shay Henderson, Rona Reimer, Tammy Jeffrey, Bodie Hoover, Neva Pyatt, Cora Kring, Cutter Seay, Heston Seay, Patsy Wells, Evie Atha, Ellen Kirk, Chris Wright, Joe Pyatt and Maysie Sadler. The final winner of the Dance Off and $100 was Elaine McGuire. Security State Bank hosted the Corn Hole Tournament. There were 9 teams competing for the prizes. The winners were 1st place – Arthur Craig & Chance Craig; 2nd place – Derek Orange & Curtis Irwin; 3rd place – Chrystal Craig & Jake Craig. The Fashion Show winners were 1st place Lee Padilla, as the Fonz and 2nd place was Emma Kring in her poodle skirt. The contest was hosted by the Cheyenne- Roger Mills Chamber of Commerce.

The Car Show winners were – Neal & Darla Pennington with their 1941 International Pickup; Frank & Cookie Moler with their 1968 Mustang; Leon & Janet Malson with their 1960 Chevrolet Impala and John Fisher with his 1929 Essex Rat Rod.

The evening ended with a movie at the Rook Theater. Thank you to the following businesses and individuals for your contribution to the event.
