As the NPS (Washita Battlefield National Historic Site) begins the process to reopen your national park sites, NPS leaders are consulting with the Office of Public Health (OPH). OPH recruits, supports, and manages Public Health Service (PHS) Commissioned Corps officers assigned to the Department of the Interior (DOI) and the NPS. They function as an internal health department, providing agency specific capabilities for parks on a range of new and evolving public health issues through prevention and response services.
