We had 753 visitors in August. Our previous Acting Superintendent, Kevin Young, from Amistad National Recreation Area, has completed his 120-day temporary assignment. However, he will be returning to Washita in mid-October as the new selected Superintendent. Also returning will be, Kate Roesch.She spent 3 months assisting us in our 150th Captives Released events, summer camp, and debuting Washita’s new Junior Ranger Booklet. Moving forward, as our new Park Ranger, Kate will oversee our education programing and actively coordinate with schools for field trips and classroom visits.
