Washita NPS Park Guide Joel Shockley

Park Guide, Joel Shockley, has been at Washita Battlefield National Historic Site since May 2004. A native Oklahoman, born in Claremore, Joel believes the words of Will Rogers that, “We are here for a spell; get all the laughs you can.” Joel is an Eagle Scout and graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University with a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and Museum Management.
