Windle Turley Receives DBA Award

County Windle Turley, former resident and local rancher, has received the Dallas Bar Association’s TRIAL LAWYER OF THE YEAR award. The 11,000-member lawyers association presented its 2020 recognition to a man with deep roots in Cheyenne and Roger Mills County. Windle was born in Cheyenne; he grew up here; and he graduated from Cheyenne High School. His grandparents had settled on Croton Creek, west of Cheyenne. His grandfather, Edgar Taylor, served many years as the county tax assessor. His mother, Virginia Foster, was also a graduate of Cheyenne High School.
